Brief

Australia’s OG natural wine delivery service was ready to step up its game in the digital space, looking to carve out an editorial corner of their website where they could tell stories and explore their niche in an experimental way. DRNKS needed a strong strategy behind this project, a tone of voice and graphic approach to round it all out, and of course ongoing copy to make sure it lived to tell the tale into the future. Oh, they also needed a bunch of slick shots for their website!

Editorial Copywriting, Graphic Design, Photography, Strategy, Tone of Voice
The Buffet Approach

Editorial is one of our favourite services, and a tool we love to weil to enrich a brand’s world and create authority and cut-through in a crowded marketplace. We concepted Loose Lips for DRNKS as a space where we could explore trends, myth-bust, push product and hold conversations worth reading with winemakers, spirit makers, and industry leaders. All delivered in an irreverent tone of voice that is at once authoritative, slightly chaotic and fun-guy-you-just-met-at-a-house-party.

Across five verticals, we explored why your pet nat may explode (yikes!), where to find natural wine and the best pastries in Tassie, and how Owen Latta makes soil look sexy in his vineyard, all with graphics and stills to match across all DRNKS platforms.

It’s always a pleasure to create assets that are viewed IRL, nowhere near a phone. We created a series of paste-up posters for DRNKS that shouted their messages LOUD – natural wine, delivered fast. Bold use of colour matched with fonts that ebb and flow aim to turn heads (safely while driving, of course). Meanwhile for their website imagery, our art direction looked to fuse the chaos of a packing warehouse with a touch of good-time elegance.
